If you encounter a word on the platform that is not explained here, contact the community or the support team. **Account Abstraction** The technology that powers KiX's smart accounts. Account Abstraction (technically ERC-4337) allows user accounts to be governed by code rather than private keys. This enables social login recovery, no fees for users (the platform covers them), and the same user experience as a traditional app — while still being a fully self-custodial account on the blockchain. **Biconomy MEE** The smart account infrastructure KiX uses to create Biconomy MEE (Modular Execution Environment) smart accounts for users. This is what allows you to sign up with a social login and get a fully self-custodial account on Chiliz Chain without ever seeing a seed phrase. **Chiliz Chain** The sports and entertainment blockchain on which KiX is built. Purpose-built for football and sports, Chiliz Chain is home to official fan tokens for clubs including FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Galatasaray, among many others. All KiX transactions occur on Chiliz Chain. **CHZ** The native token of Chiliz Chain. CHZ is used to acquire $KIX on Kayen Finance. It is listed on major exchanges globally. **Commission** The fee charged on certain platform actions. DAT buys and sells carry a 2% commission, split between the Rewards Pool and Treasury (exact split confirmed at launch). DAT Swaps carry a discounted commission compared to a separate sell-and-buy (exact rate confirmed at launch). $KIX purchases carry no commission at launch, as there is no in-platform purchase mechanism yet. **DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization)** An organisation governed by its community through on-chain rules, rather than by a board of directors or shareholders. KiX is a DAO registered as the KiX Foundation. Major decisions are made by vlKIX holders through governance proposals and voting. **DAT (Digital Athlete Token)** The core tradeable instrument on KiX. There are two types: **Free DATs** (freemium, max 1 per footballer per user, swap-only) and **Standard DATs** (tradeable, buy/sell/swap). Each footballer's Standard DAT has a single, unified market price that moves with demand. DATs can be submitted into Game Groups to compete for Rewards. **$KIX** The utility and governance token of the KiX platform. Used to buy DATs, enter games, and make Predictions. Can be locked to receive vlKIX for governance participation. $KIX is not an investment product. Acquired externally via Kayen Finance or CoinTR — not available for direct in-platform purchase at launch. **Game Day** A day on which a scheduled Game Group takes place. Game Day determines the submission cut-off time and the close of the rewards window. **Game Group** A rewards competition structured around a set of football matches. Weekend Game Groups run Friday–Sunday with a cut-off of 12:00 UTC; Weekday Game Groups run Monday–Thursday with a cut-off of 17:00 UTC. Users submit their DATs before the cut-off time. **IPO (Initial Player Offering)** The process by which a new footballer is introduced to the KiX platform. Similar to a company IPO, an IPO on KiX marks the first time a footballer's DATs are made available. IPO pricing and availability are determined through the DAO-governed process. **Kayen Finance** The primary decentralised exchange (DEX) on Chiliz Chain. Available at [app.kayen.finance](https://app.kayen.finance). This is where $KIX is listed and where users can acquire or sell $KIX using CHZ. **Live Pricing Mechanism** The automated system that sets DAT prices based on supply and demand. When more people buy a footballer's DAT, the price rises. When more people sell, the price falls. The mechanism is algorithmic and transparent — no human sets the price. Calculated as the current DAT price multiplied by the total number of Standard DATs in circulation for that player. Visible on each footballer's profile page. **Oracle** An independent data service that provides real-world information to the KiX platform. KiX uses oracles for performance data — feeding verified match statistics from SportMonks for Performance Score calculations. Oracles are independent of KiX — they cannot be manipulated by the platform. **Podium** The top three finishing positions in a Game Group's Top 3 competition, awarded to the submitted DATs with the highest Performance Scores. 1st place receives 50% of the Rewards Pool, 2nd receives 30%, 3rd receives 20%. **Quadratic Voting** The governance voting model used by KiX DAO. In quadratic voting, a holder's voting power increases with the square root of their vlKIX holdings — not linearly. This prevents the largest holders from having unlimited dominance and ensures smaller holders retain meaningful governance influence. **Rewards Pool** The accumulated pot of $KIX available to be won in a given Game Group. Funded by a share of DAT trading commissions plus treasury matching, up to a maximum total of 1,000 $KIX per Game Group. The balance is always visible on the platform and independently verifiable on Chiliz Chain. **Smart Account** The type of account created for KiX users who sign up with social login, using Biconomy MEE. A smart account is governed by code rather than a private key — enabling social login recovery, no user-facing fees, and the same self-custodial security as a traditional crypto wallet. A smart account lives on Chiliz Chain. See also: Account Abstraction, Biconomy MEE. **Snapshot** The off-chain governance voting platform used by KiX DAO. Snapshot allows vlKIX holders to vote on governance proposals without paying transaction fees. All votes and outcomes are permanently recorded and publicly visible on Snapshot's platform. **Socios Wallet** The wallet app used by fans of Chiliz Chain-powered fan tokens. KiX supports connecting an existing Socios wallet via WalletConnect — KiX will automatically detect any fan tokens you hold and theme the platform to your club. **Spread** The difference between the buy price and sell price of a DAT, reflected in the dynamic bid spread of KiX's bonding curve mechanism. A Swap carries a discounted commission compared to selling one DAT and buying another separately — the exact rate is confirmed at launch. **Top 3** A Games Hub podium competition where users submit a DAT for a chance to finish in the top three positions by Performance Score. **TVL (Total Value Locked)** The total value of $KIX locked in all footballer price pools across the KiX platform. TVL is a measure of the overall size of the KiX market — a higher TVL indicates more capital committed to DAT positions. Visible on the platform dashboard. **vlKIX (Vote-Locked KIX)** The governance token received when you lock $KIX for a defined period. vlKIX represents voting power in the KiX DAO. vlKIX is non-transferable and is burned when the lock expires. The amount of vlKIX you hold determines your influence in governance votes. **XP (Experience Points)** KiX's progression system. Earned through platform activity — trading, Game Groups, Predictions, Teams, and challenges. XP accumulates permanently and is displayed on your profile. Future updates will unlock additional benefits tied to XP level.
