# Complete Ecosystem

KiX is a decantralized ecosystem run by a DAO. This enables anyone to get involved in the project by acquiring the $KIX token. They may have no interest in football but still wish to be involved in the project, maybe waiting for a different sport in which they are interested. 

We considered eliminating the platform token from our ecosystem and just allowing traders to buy DAT, however this eliminates much of the 'magic source' of the project as detailed in [Getting Started](/kix/getting-started/kix-token-ecosystem.md)
