The KiX eco-system is made up of two tokens: the $KIX Platform token and [DAT Footballer tokens](/kix/the-basics/dat-footballer-nfts.md)

To trade the footballer NFTs seamlessly, you must buy our platform token $KIX. \
It is our magic sauce and can only be acquired using a stablecoin like $USDT or $USDC.

Having to purchase $KIX first may seem like a hurdle, but as you get comfortable with it, you will come to understand the power of $KIX:&#x20;
