Reliable on-pitch performance data lies at the heart of every thing we do to create our unique NFTs.
Performance scores are tracked every Game Day and recorded on the blockchain, footballers with the top three highest performance scores within each Game Group are podium placed and determine how rewards are distributed.
Our data is in 3 distinct categories:
(i) 3rd Party Data: We require on pitch data from a reliable supplier. However, one of our fundamental differentiators is that we have partnered with the best in class Web3 on-chain data provider GORA. By having our sports data supplied and validated by a blockchain driven web3 vendor, it allows KiX to stick to its decentralized ethos, there is no single point of failure in our data. We will not be victim to random changes in data overnight that can effect market sentiment, node runners will need to validate any data before it is accepted.
(ii) Our Performance Score: This is our own weighting given to the the 3rd Party Data. By using the formula on the following Performance Matrix page, we aggregate several data points supplied to create a score from which our 3 podium winners are selected. There will also be plans to help derive a theoretical performance score using Machine Learning in the future. This ML driven score will enable traders to determine how well the footballer is performing relative to their previous appearances.
(iii) Market Data: This data is produced by acutal trades, it is the act of market price discovery as a result of traders voting with their wallets. Market price may be higher or lower than the theoretical price based purely on historical performance - higher price anticipates better performance in the future, and a lower price anticipates a deteriorating performance.
Every time a footballer walks onto the pitch they are creating data. Real tradeable data is directly useful for traders to determine where they believe the price of the DAT will go.
